For the past century, the Landwehr family has been a trusted name in the hardware, toy, and general mercantile business in Northern Kentucky. By agreement with Tom and Linda Landwehr (3rd generation), they closed the doors to the store in early July with NO going out of business sale before we conduct their auction.
Entering the main hardware store is like stepping back in time 70 years ago. Every nook, corner, and cranny was utilized to store it seems like at least one of everything related to the hardware and general mercantile trade. The toy department at one time was only second to Johnny’s Toys and there is still shelves full of new stock some of which goes back several decades!
With the magnitude of modern to new old stock merchandise, as well as antique store fixtures, and old signage we are liquidating in one auction (2 buildings full) we cannot stress enough the importance of taking time to review the auction from start to finish! We will be selling single-item lots as well as large bulk lots so plan to come to one or both of the previews to inspect this once-in-a-lifetime offering!!! LEAVE THE CHILDREN AT HOME FOR THE PREVIEWS.
